Other winners include Guy F., who paid just 40 Cents for an iPod Nano Red, Keturah H., who paid just 15 cents for a $100 Sephora Gift Card, and Jim R, who paid just $5.57 for a 42″ LG Plasma TV. At SilverTag, winners are determined not by the highest bid, but by the lowest unique bid placed on a given item.

Members of SilverTag, which launched on December 1, 2006, are calling it “the most addictive auction site in the world.” Upon winning the $100 Target Gift Card for 15 cents, Brian L., a SilverTag member from Castle Rock, Colo., exclaimed, “SilverTag is for real and it is totally amazing and fun! Everybody knows PlayStation3 and Wii are the two best-selling game machines nowadays. PlayStation 3 is created by the video game leader, Sony Corp, while Wii is created by the video game pioneer, Nintendo Co.

Both PS3 and Wii are powerful computers that have been optimized for graphics and sound. However, these two game machines couldn’t be more different.

PS3 is a bulky black box that costs $350 to $500, which includes a standard hard drive, a high-definition Blu-ray optical drive, high-definition video output, Bluetooth wireless controllers, and WiFi wireless networking port.

Wii is a thin white box that costs around $250 with much wimpier specs. Its remote uses accelerometers to sense how players swing, point, and tilt the controller. It doesn’t have a hard disk, a networking port or the ability to play DVDs or CDs. It cannot produce high-definition video, either. However, Wii does have Wi-Fi that could wirelessly connects to Nintendo’s portable game system.

In my opinion, PS3 is definitely the winner of these two game machines. PlaySation3 has better graphics and better overall media. I am impressed by the rich, realistic graphics and intricate game play in my PS3 games we tried. On the other hand, I think graphics on the Wii are quite cheesy.

My PS3 also has a memory card reader for all Compact Flash and SD memory cards, which is really cool. With a USB keyboard and mouse, my PS3 can serve as a basic PC. Also, Wii’s games are all kids games except for Zelda.

PS3 is indeed most expensive than Wii. However, $350 isn’t too expensive though when you’re getting a thousand-valued built-in Blue-ray player. So I would recommend you getting a PS3 instead of Wii if you are a hard-core gamer like me.

Now let me go over what I think are the best places to buy a PS3 online.

Next month, Lost will come to life in an entirely new fashion, when Lost: Via Domus is released on XBox 360, Playstation 3 and the PC. The Lost video game will come out for the three systems simultaneously on February 26.

Gamers of Lost: Via Domus will take on the persona of an altogether new and previously unseen or unheard of survivor of doomed Flight 815. As Elliott the photojournalist, gamers will suffer from amnesia while embarking on a tour of the mysterious island, much like Paulo and Nikki’s adventures in the episode entitled “Expose.”

Despite such a parallel, along with other similarities with Lost’s first three seasons, Lost: Via Domus won’t reveal any major secrets and surprises about the television show. However, its creators do promise that much like all other media connected with the franchise – books, websites and mobisodes – the game will showcase exciting things about the island and its castaways.

Lost: Via Domus hopes to achieve this dichotomous stance by focusing on its main character, Elliott, whose identity players of the video will assume. The game is built primarily around Elliott’s true person and the mystery of why strange people keep popping up all over the jungle to threaten him.

Gamers can look forward to a total of 10 hours of running around, deciphering puzzles and clues, engaging in mini-games, picking dialogues and a whole lot of action. Among the tasks players will have to take on as Elliott are fixing fuel leaks in the plane, keying in the wretched numbers into the Swan station computer and communicating with Kate to trigger a flashback sequence.

While Lost: Via Domus does not feature the vocal talents of Lost stars like Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly and Josh Holloway, it does carry those of other cast members such as Yunjin Kim, Michael Emerson, Emilie De Ravin and Henry Ian Cusick.

There are job titles that future game designers aren’t even aware exist. Of course there’s a chief technical officer, a senior programmer, and an art director – but now the entertainment and media want ads are looking for lead scenario designers, battle designers, combat designers and level designers. There are game designer careers within game designer jobs. Some other titles for game designer careers are scenario designer, concept author, conceptual designer, level planner and camera designer. Then of course there’s the textual artist, background modeler, environment designer and character designer. But it all starts with a computer and an education – and lots of game playing.

A game designer education needs to include courses in programming, graphic design, media, art, communication, marketing, algebra and geometry. Self-learning, by taking advantage of game creating software (game engine tools) and 3D modeling tools can give you a head start. Going back to play some of the historical games and reviewing the history of video games can also put you a level over the competition. If you are addicted enough and have the perseverance to pursue your career, getting a college education is the fastest and easiest way to get your foot in the door. Your portfolio should include courses in digital media, communication, graphic design and computer programming at the minimum. Try to get courses in animation, cinematics, creative writing or storytelling. The majority of game designers have a degree, and common majors are computer science, art and English.

Game designer positions will be growing with technology. Your talent and on-the-job experience in game designing will carry you up the levels in your career, but your college education will get you in the door. Investing in an education in game designing will give you the career potential to make well over $50,000 and do something you love. Design a plan for your future, and take the path to your game design career. A game designer that loves to game will always win.

The recent release of Grand Theft Auto IV has undoubtedly helped move both PlayStation and Xbox 360. However, there is another game, Metal Gear Solid 4 (MGS4), is being anxiously anticipated by faithful game fans all around the word.

Somehow, MGS4 is the reason that many forward-looking gamers chose Sony’s console over Microsoft. Konami’s PS3 exclusive lets PS players once again reprise the role of Solid Snake. The game takes Snake over different locations all round the world including the Middle East that has been shown in the trailers.

Released worldwide on June 12, MGS4 features the Beauty and the Beast Unit, in the tradition of Outer Heaven Mercenaries, the Zanzibar Mercenaries, FOXHOUND, Dead Cell, and the Cobra Unit. The bosses are ladies suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. As the player, you have the choice whether to save or kill them when the opportunity arises.

But what about those gamers who still haven’t taken the next-generation plunge? The MGS4 PS3 bundle is sold on Amazon, and will soon be available at Walmart this month.

There is an interesting incident: MGS4 PS3 (80GB) bundle went on sale at Amazon at 1:00 AM EST on June 6. Thousands of PS3 fans swarmed the site and got rid of the inventory in only a few minutes. As a result. Amazon PS3 sales increases by 266,000%. Sales ranking goes from 2,661st to No.1 in less than 7 minutes. Coincidentally, a few minutes after Amazon began selling the MGS4 PS3 (80G), the Amazon website went down for over two hours because of “system problems.” Good job folks!

There are two versions of MGS4 PS3 bundles available today. The limited edition bundle includes a 40G PS3 in metal gray (not compatible with PS2 games), a DualShock 3 rumble controller, a copy of the MGS4 game, a CD soundtrack and a behind-the-scenes disc. This limited-run model is priced at $600.

The other one is “PlayStation 3 Metal Gear Solid 4 Pack”. I personally think this mainstream version is the winner out of the two, which includes a 80G PS3 model in black compatible with PS2 games, a DualShock 3 rumble controller, Metal Gear Solid 4 game, and a voucher for a free download of the Pain game. So you will get a better PlayStation model (80G) for $100 less than that limited edition bundle.
