Gditeam asked:

The price for the new Nintendo Wii is quite competitive to say the least. In fact, the word competitive does not do this system any justice. The bottom line is that the Wii beats the competition in price across the board. If you are in the market for one of the newer gaming systems there is no better option than the Wii. Of course you can opt for another like the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360, but if you do this you will have to pay as much as $300 more. Are you willing to do this for a system that many believe is not better than the Wii?

In September 2006 Nintendo began to release information about the seventh generation gaming console known as the Wii. Many people may have been surprised to learn at that time that the Wii is being priced at the low cost of $249.99. To the amateur gamer or somebody who is not in the know, $249.99 may seem like a lot of money; and for good reason. But when you look at Wii prices compared to those of other systems you will be happy that you are interested in what Nintendo has to offer. A new Microsoft Xbox 360 will set you back about $400, whereas the Playstation 3 is being price at $600. So for less than half the cost of the newest Playstation you can pick up a brand new Nintendo Wii.

In addition to the price of the console itself, there are also a few other Wii prices that you should be aware of. For example, a Wii remote is going to set you back approximately $40. Also if you want to purchase accessories such as nunchuks you will have to shell out $20. The games that are compatible with the Wii will cost $60 on average. Yes, this is a bit much, but with the newest features and graphics it is safe to say that it is well worth the money.

It is obvious that Wii prices are among the best in the industry. And there is one thing that you are probably forgetting in all of this pricing excitement. That being the fact that the Wii is supposed to be able to hold its own against the other gaming consoles that are available. So what situation is better for you? Spending $600 on a new system, or being able to get the same thing for only $250? It is safe to say that if you are a consumer you are going to opt for the one that costs hundreds of dollars less.

Overall, Wii prices are something that the industry should be excited about. In today’s day and age of technology it is easy for manufacturers to get carried away when it comes to pricing. The fact of the matter is that Nintendo could have easily gotten away with pricing the Wii at $300 or more. But instead of doing this they wanted to stay true to their roots and offer a gaming system that is top notch, for a price that the majority of people could justify spending.

video game review
Gaming is a multi trillion dollar industry in the wide world today. Hundreds of people doing on developing a single game, and millions of people purchase it all over the world. The industry is at such high stakes that the income generated by a single bestselling title could be more than the gross public product of a third world country. In such a circumstance, there are many ways that gaming can be used to your own advantage. Even if you know zilch about developing games, you can gain a very impressive sum by testing them, and even make it your fulltime profession.

Game developer companies want to be perfectly sure that their products are perfect before they release them into the market. Since such high stakes are riding on the heads of each title, this is a very obvious thing to want. That is why there is a need for game testers. These people do not requirement to visit the company certainly; game testing can be taken up as a freelance career from home. Once the game testers are recruited, they will get the games by post, which they have you play and review. The review has to be drafted on a form which comes with the game CD. Generally there is a timeframe of about fifteen days to review the game and to submit its report.

In order to leave no stone unturned with their precious games, game developers are playing very high to those who do the game testing for them. An proficient video game tester could get anywhere between $80 and $90 per hour. Novices would start out at less, but they would soon reach this level of earning. The pay that game testers get is just about the highest that some freelance worker gets. The money paid comes in the post next about two weeks of the submission of the game’s review.

And to top it all, the game testers get to keep the game CDs. These game CDs become profitable at that point of time, because they are the beta versions of games that are yet to be released in the market. The last game CD could be a little dissimilar, thus it would incorporate all the suggested changes and be better off for graphics and voice.

Although, game testing is not just games all the way. You might have to visit the game developing companies occasionally if they are not able to deliver the titles, or you may even have to visit them and describe your opinion of the game. This happens in most cases, specially in great graphic games which are very difficult to describe on a written form. Also, the game tester has to have a scrupulous approach to the game, and check out all flaw and make a report of it.

So, if you think you are up to all these responsibilities, and if you generally love games, then game testing could be the best profession for you to be in. The money’s good, and you work by doing almost nothing more than playing games. You can get some good tips and ideas about how to enter the world of game testing.

The gaming industry has been slowly gathering pace for many years now. In fact, there is evidence now which suggests that even in these troubled economic times it is one of the fastest growing industries.

video game review
Team Fortress 2 has to be without a doubt one of the craziest first-person shooter games you will ever play, it has been created and developed by the amazing Valve Corporation, which is the same video game company which brought us the even more interesting Half-Life.

The difference between first-person shooters in those games which feature an isometric angle is that the first one puts the player right in the middle of the action and so this type of games often require a great deal of work when it comes to graphics, games which are played at an asymmetric angle to require a great deal of detail when it comes to graphics because the player is practically controlling the main characters from above, this also gives him a clear view of the surroundings which is something you can get when you’re playing a first-person shooter game.

Team Fortress 2 is a completely different concept from Half-Life, in team Fortress of the players can choose the team they want to be part of, the two teams are red and blue. RED actually means reliable excavation demolition and BLU stands for Builders League United. While in Half-Life the player becomes the all-time famous Mr. Gordon who goes against all sorts of aliens and undead creatures, in team Fortress the player goes against a crazy group of players who can be kind of odd for instance, it wouldn’t be very normal to see a farm boy grabbing a bazooka and shooting at a construction worker now would it?

In team Fortress 2 you will see all sorts of craziness, a guy with a baseball bat runs around hitting people (sort of like little slugger), a doctor who runs behind the members of his team with a gun fires a beam or an aura which heals players, a crazy construction worker with a high caliber weapon, a crazy Russian guy who carries a weapon which is capable of firing $200 custom cartridges at 10,000 rpm (costing nearly $400,000 to fire the weapon for only 12 seconds)

Team Fortress Hacks and Cheats:

Due to the complexity of the game as low as the craziness that goes on with it many players have decided to create shall we say “shortcuts” in order to advance from level to level and to acquire heavier artillery which in team Fortress means everything. Some of the hacks are able to show Turretes, dispensers and even players through the walls which can be quite handy when you’re up against when those fast guys who comes running at you with a baseball bat.

Most of the hacks require the player to download a zip file or an executable which needs to be run in order to unlock the hidden features in the game which is why it is highly recommended to run the downloaded files to an antivirus program before doing any installation.

The following is a review of the Top 5 video games searched for on the Internet.

Looking for a game? Looking for a gift for a gamer? Just curious?

Rank 1 Grand Theft Auto IV:

Grand Theft Auto IV is an upcoming sandbox-style action adventure video game. It will be the ninth title (and the first in the fourth generation) in the Grand Theft Auto video game franchise. It will be released worldwide on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game will be set in a redesigned Liberty City, based heavily on New York City and New Jersey.

Niko Bellic is Eastern European, between 28 and 32 years of age and has come to Liberty City to pursue the “American Dream”. Niko was persuaded to move to Liberty City by his cousin Roman, who claimed in multiple e-mails to Niko that he was living a fabulous life, with a mansion, women, hot tubs and sports cars. Roman’s claims turn out to be lies to hide his own failures, however, and in reality he only owns a small taxi business, which he wants Niko to work for.

Roman is the only person Niko knows in Liberty City to begin with, and is one of his major connections in the first part of the game. Niko is a tough character, whereas Roman is friendly. Roman is heavily in debt and a lot of people are after him. He desperately needs Niko’s support, hence the reason he deceived Niko into travelling to Liberty City. They are constantly bickering. It is later revealed that Niko has also been avoiding other, as yet undisclosed, problems at home. Both characters are new and there are virtually no returning players.

Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in October 2004, the game has since been ported to the Xbox and Microsoft Windows, and has received wide acclaim and high sales figures on all three platforms.

Set in late 1992, the game revolves around the main character, Carl “CJ” Johnson returning home from Liberty City to Los Santos after learning of his mother’s murder. CJ finds his family and his old gang, the Grove Street Families, in disarray. Over the course of the game, CJ gradually unravels the plot behind his mother’s murder while reestablishing his gang and exploring his own business ventures.

The game features more than 40 popular licensed songs, many of them cover versions recorded for the game, spanning five decades (from the 1960s to the 2000s).

These were so extreme that they, in part, led to the founding of the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) 1 Mortal Kombat is available in PS2, Xbox, Mobile and PC.

The original Mortal Kombat was developed as a reaction to the popular fighting game Street Fighter II, with digitized graphics of real game actors as opposed to animated cartoon graphics. Critics said the game’s graphic violence was only included in order to generate a public outcry and controversy that would gain publicity for the game. Although highly controversial, the mix of realism and violence propelled Mortal Kombat to widespread and historic renown.
