Gen Wright asked:

looking to purchase a video game console has to consider several issues. These issues ultimately affect the buying decision, and depending on individual preferences, some will certainly outweigh others. So it’s important to know what your own preferences are before setting out to buy a piece of video game hardware. After all, video game consoles can be rather costly, costing three hundred dollars and up a piece. Therefore, it’s always a wise thing to do a little bit of home and read some reviews before making any decisions - which is probably why you are here, as this is going to be a review on Sony’s PlayStation 3 (PS3).

Now when doing your own research on which video game console is best suited for you, you may want to start with performance. There are performance in various category such as graphics and CPU processing speed. But let’s just start with looking at CPU performance. Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) boasts of a unique cell processor. How a cell processor works is that the processor has several different cells, all capable of processing information at the same time. This make it the most powerful CPU that a video game console has on the market. Some reviewers have claimed that this most of the CPU resources have not been utilized, and this is true to a certain extent. I would, however, argue that for Sony has been developed with the future in mind. With so much raw power, it is exciting to imagine what the console can achieve in a few short years. The executives in Sony has in fact, adopted a more far-sighted approach and built in a very powerful processor right from the onset. Therefore, all claims that the PlayStation 3 (PS3) arrived late in the marketplace is simply unfounded. Keep your eyes on this video console and it’ll soon lead the pack in a few years time.

Another main area of concern for video game consoles, is graphics. Graphics have always been one of the most talked about topic among gamers. To be fair, gamers should only compare graphics with games that are exclusive to each video console. That’s because multi platform games may not be designed to fully utilize the potential in a video console, as the focus is on compatibility instead of performance. Everyone seems to be comparing graphics performance between the XBox and Sony Playstation 3 (PS3). From our own tests, Playstation displays 3D renderings with far more sharpness. And that can only be achieved with high end technology. The end result is that you get much more realistic environments. You don’t have to take our word for it, simply make the observations yourself.

And finally, all gamers should consider the list of exclusive games before buying any video console. This factor, by and large, depends very heavily on the individual personal preference. We can get away with graphics or CPU performance issues. For some, as long as the games are playable on the console, who cares. But if the gamer falls in love with a game, and must absolutely get his hands on it, then he is out of luck if the console he owns doesn’t support the game. So remember to check out some games, and see which console has your favorites on them.

To sum it all up, the PlayStation 3 (PS3) is a high end gaming machine. No doubt it has a slightly heftier price tag compared to the Xbox, but if you’re a true ******** gaming fan, you probably wouldn’t mind the 50 to 100 dollars difference. That being said, I’m sure the executives at Sony firmly believes that true gamers know an excellent video console when they see one. And thus the decision to incorporate highly advanced hardware into the console, way ahead of its competition, even if it means bringing the cost higher. And I’m sure, in time to come, all true gamers will come to recognize that, and share the vision and excitement with the Sony executives.

Jacob Marshal asked:

Invented in 1999, the Medal of Honor-Airborne is centered around the different aspects of the World War II. It is a shooter computer game, developed by EA Los Angeles, and was released worldwide in September 2007. Its PS III version is slated to get released in November 2007. Part of the Medal of Honor series, this one is the first from the series to focus on paratrooper activities.

The players are made to step in the shoes of Travis Boyd, who is a private in the airborne infantry. You get to be part of their first experimental deployments in the World War II. As the word ‘Airborne’ signifies, contrary to the other FPS games, here you don’t just have to walk a path but can drop down from the sky as well. A lot of freedom of action is given to the player in this version of the game. Most single player FPS games lack in this department, whereas this one gives the whole mission a freeform feeling. Most of the objectives can be performed in any order that you wish.

The game is being played in the European theater and the varied missions include insertions into Germany, Italy, Northern France and Netherlands. Unlike the earlier version which followed a linear game play style, this one gives you the complete freedom to start the game anywhere in the map. In consonance with the name, the beginning of the mission is marked with jumping out of the plane and parachuting down to the ground.

The players are free to decide where in the battlefield they would like to be dropped, and that flagged space is where the players will find their allies and supplies. Technically speaking, the game uses a modified Unreal 3 Engine, which was specifically designed for DirectX 9, PlayStation, 10 PCs and Xbox 360. Get this for your PlayStation and get a hand-on experience of the World War II.

Do you love playing video games, until your parents worry so much about your future? Well, tell them they don’t need to worry anymore. Today you can get a salary equal to a MBA graduated student for just playing games.

1. How Much Can You Get Paid?

As game tester your salary can range anywhere around $15,000 to $80,000 per year. Gaming companies need as much professional game testers as available to test and measure customers’ expectation for their future released games.

2. What Do You Need?

Becoming a game tester is not as easy as just playing the games, finishing it and then giving a comment. You also need to understand some technical know-how about the game and the console you play.

You need at least 18 years old. If you are still in college, luckily this can be a part-time job for you. As a part-time game tester you can earn salary anywhere around $1500 to $5000.

Also you will need professional resume. So you had better start to learn how to write a good resume. One simple trick that can enhance the effectiveness of your resume is by writing your experiences. You can start with writing review about various games in your blog.

This blog and reviews you have written will increase your reputation in front of your recruiters later on.

3. How To Apply

You can start visiting various game expos; usually they have a stand where you can apply as a beta tester. Just go directly to the stand and give your resume.

Usually they will give small tasks of finding small game bugs and defects that you can do at home. If you are good they will hire you immediately the next week.

Also when writing your review, it is a good idea to write also about possible customers’ concern and expectation. By doing the extra mile, you will stand out from the rest of the packs.

Today, the video game industry is a billion dollar industry and millions of dollars are pumped into each video game. The opportunities to work in the gaming industry is huge and the first step to doing that is working as a beta game tester.

Yes, I complete understand you have a sum interest in getting In-demand wholesale games at 60% and even at 70% discount. You see a lot of sellers online offering video games at very cheap prices and you have wonder where they buy so cheap for such great new games. I know, they are everywhere online my fellow friend. I am still addicted to video games and while being one- I was always looking for the best prices since In my earlier playing beginnings- I could not afford to buy retail as I was at school. Little did I know that the Internet had special gifts for me waiting where I could virtually purchase any kind of games at rock-bottom wholesale prices without having to move a leg from my home.

It was perfect, I discovered that the Internet was a great source for wholesale and I jump on it immediately. Then after, I believed in it. And little did I know, that it was going to be a great wholesale business both online with stores and locally offline. You can both buy immediately from a wholesale games distributor and save for your home entertainment video games addiction like me 9 years ago, or you have the new option of starting a new wholesale business by owning your own store thanks to the wholesale prices that are available right now. It is true- you can buy from a wholesale distributor and make a comfortable living from home selling tangible items either on online stores or offline. There are now thousands of home-based businesses online today. They are working from the comfort of their own home without having to work for a grumpy boss. I am living the dream right now. The dream of selling what I love to play and the dream of being at home and doing whatever I want at anytime. I am not being a show-off here.

It is a fact that you can make thousands of dollars working from the comfort of your own home by entering the wholesale business either online or offline. There is no need for evidence. eBay home-based business are everywhere and you can hear the rave reviews spread all over the Internet. So by now, you are asking where can you buy wholesale games at wholesale prices. The answer for that is very simple. You need to buy from a wholesale distributor that can be trusted or from a wholesaler that is reliable and has great prices for our present market. Because, the wholesale of yesterday, is not the wholesale of today in many markets and niches. It is imperative that you understand that. Every day business is getting stronger. The small business owner needs a reliable and correct wholesale list to support wholesale market needs while we as also buyers, take advantage of that as prices get lower most of the time as competition increases for most markets.

If starting a video games wholesale business, I will strongly recommend you get a wholesale video games list that has reliable and tested distributors for both delivery accuracy and wholesale prices. You can find a legit wholesale list from an entrepreneur that has been in the business for years, specially the ones who have earned thousands of dollars a year from such business.

video game review
The Orange Box is a video game that is available exclusively for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. What kind of name for a video game is The Orange Box? Who came up with a name like that? Those are two questions that I cannot answer, but I do know that The Orange Box is an amazing package deal. The Orange Box comes with Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode I, Half-Life Episode II, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. Everyone knows the storyline of Half-Life 2 by now, so here is Half-Life 2 in a nutshell. The game is a direct sequel to the original Half-Life and the events transpire after the events of the original Half-Life. Humans are being held as prisoners at a location known as City 17. The plot revolves around the protagonist scientist Gordon Freeman, and he is attempting to eradicate the alien crisis. I was impressed with the storyline in Half-Life 2 because it had its fair share of poignant moments. The gameplay in Half-Life 2 is exactly what you would expect it to be. Gamers will have a usual assortment of weapons at their disposal. Some of them are machine guns, handguns, grenades, rocket launchers, and so forth. Then, there is everyone’s favorite gravity gun. This intricate weapon can be used to launch projectiles into the air. Anything and everything can be used in conjunction with the gravity gun. For instance, a piece of wood can be lifted up and tossed at foes by utilizing the gravity gun. Realistic physics is what gives Half-Life 2 a more distinctive quality than some other first person shooters. In addition, there are some driving sequences in the game with Gordon’s ally Alyx Vance. Furthermore, players will be going through the game battling against various opponents. These enemies entail zombies, aliens, and other fiendish creatures.

The graphics in the game seem a little on the low end of the spectrum, and they are not necessarily next generation visuals. On the bright side, the animations and voice acting is superb. Even the music has a fitting rhyme to it. The Half-Life games have approximately 25 hours of content.Half-Life 2 has 15 hours; Half-Life Episode I and Half-Life Episode II have five hours of gameplay each. Next up is the game called Portal. Portal is intrinsically a puzzle game with a twist. The twist being that you are equipped with a gun that creates portals. These portals serve as exits and entries. If gamers pull the trigger on the gun, then a portal opens. Another pull of the trigger will open another portal. For example, a puzzle could be something like getting from point A to point B. However, it is not as rudimentary as that. Earnest contemplation must be a factor in completing the later puzzles in the game. The initial puzzles in the game are simple, but the game gets more arduous as you progress. Luckily, the game does have some facetious moments scattered throughout as you travel from portal to portal. Unfortunately, Portal is short. It is really short. I am talking about shorter than Kevin Federline and Paris Hilton’s music career short. Alright, maybe not that short. Nonetheless, the game is only one to two hours in length. The last and final piece to The Orange Box is Team Fortress 2. Team Fortress 2 is a multiplayer game with numerous character styles. There are a total of nine classes altogether, and they all have pros and cons. For instance, an engineer is proficient in setting up a defense with traps. Conversely, a demolition man will be brilliant at making the rivals explode. All of the characters are well balanced, so there is no one character that can overpower the other. The Orange Box is five games for the price of one. Overall, The Orange Box is more than an adequate compilation of video games that is more than just Half-Life 2.

Ricky Lim asked:

Playstation 3 was launched in the US on November 11, 2006, and they literally sold by themselves. Even though they weren’t that cheap, the sale numbers went to the skies, fans wanting to get their hands on the first wave of consoles. All this being said, there’s no doubt about it, the PS3 was one of the most demanded electronic devices in 2007and 2008.

Now things have changed a little bit, as the PS3 is now available only through auction websites or from independent vendors. Finding a cheap PS3 is not about only pre-ordering just like that.

Pre-ordering was the easiest way to get your hands on a PS3, when they would come out in November. Normally there would be only one console per order, and that was not good for some, as some want to make presents and one for themselves.

The payment would be upfront when the console would be picked up from the store of choice or by down payment. On the release day, the console would be set aside and guaranteed to be picked up.

But even with all these, some people were unable to jump on the boat of pre-order or the prices for pre-pay and pre-order were a little too high for their tastes and they had to find other means for obtaining a console.

Craigslist is one of the means of finding a local vendor, people who intend to trade or sell the console or just don’t want it no more. Getting a new or a second-hand PS3 is almost the same, as the console came out in 2007 and not that many tweaks were done.

It’s a lot of fun to auction for one on Amazon or eBay, and sometimes you can practice for auctioning big stuff. But if you are new to auctioning, you should first learn how things go and take a tutorial on how to get the cheapest prices on stuff that may catch your attention. But sometimes you need to find re-sellers that are trustworthy, don’t just jump on the first offer you find.

You need to consider your budget when buying; many times offers are not always cheap. And sometimes auction websites may require you to overbid to win the auction and you get stuck with paying more than the PS3 actually costs.

PSP downloads, gives you the ability to do quite a bit. In fact, this unit is almost like carrying around your own personal gaming computer in your pocket. When it was created, it was created to provide for the highest level of portable gaming possible. The PSP is more than just that today. It will allow you to watch the latest video, download a few games to play whenever you would like to, and you can even get the latest news if you would like to. PSP downloads offer you the flexibility of being able to play and see whatever you want without having to go down to the video store and paying for it.

When it comes down to it, PSP downloads will allow you to do whatever you want whenever you would like to. They come programmed with the ability to connect to the web or to the network to allow you to download from the site. But, you can also access several communities that offer free downloads as well. You do not have to go through their network, in other words. If you would like to download PSP games to your player, simply visit any of these websites, register with them (which seems to be a requirement) and choose the games that you would like to play.

There are also many paid memberships that you can have as well. Of course, the best PSP games are available on these locations for downloads. But, before you hand over your credit card number, make sure that you know what they have to offer. Not all of these communities offer the best availability. You can find those communities that offer more than just PSP game downloads as well. They can provide you with the latest videos, movies, trailers and much more. Another benefit to using them is the fact that you can get the latest information about what is coming out and how you can get your hands on the latest PSP downloads.

I will be posting many reviews on this site as time goes by. Please feel free to come back and visit any time or book mark this site.

There are a few game testers than video game testing demand. Game companies are hiring game testers to find bug and error before the release date to avoid possible refund. Those game companies are earning million of dollars in revenue. They are willing to pay you to test their games to prevent loss in their sales if there is something wrong with their games. If you want to become a game tester you need sources which contain database and guide to become a game tester successfully. Gamer Testing Ground has a database of 50 gaming companies and other valuable sources.

Can you become a video game tester? Before I answer that question you need to understand a few things. If you are willing to spend a full whole day to test game and find bug and error on the game, then you wouldn’t have a problem to become a video game tester. If you have been playing video game since your childhood you should be able to understand how they function. Game companies are willing to pay you to test their games because their game programmers would rather spend the time to tweak and modify their own games. Testing game consumes long hours, if those programmers spend their valuable time testing their own games, no one will do the programming job, so these companies are happy to spend their money to hire someone to test their video games.

You do not need a college degree or programming skill to become a game tester. Game testers are usually people who love and enjoy playing video games and give some advices to the game programmers. You can become a game tester like I mentioned above but you need to know how and where to find these gaming companies and your resume does matter on whether you will get the job.

Gamer Testing Ground provides you a list of companies and led you through the application process. But there are many game testing jobs scams on the internet. You would have to consider wisely before you join them. I suggest you to join well-known gaming companies like Microsoft, Sony Corporation, EA, etc. So you won’t have to worry whether you will get paid or not.

Let me show you how to successfully become a game tester.

video game review
If you want to know more about the pros and cons of video game rentals online, then you should definitely read this article. It will be able to enlighten you on some of the basic advantages and disadvantages about this online service, thus helping you make a decision whether or not to sign up for one, just in case you’re interested.

The video game consoles that are now out in the market are costing gamers up to $300.00 to buy. The average price of a video game can reach up to $60.00. With these kind of prices, you cannot blame people for trying other alternatives just to be able to continue playing their favorite games. Renting video games online can offer gamers a huge convenience, as well as lower their expenses. However, these services are not for the average gamer, so there are a few disadvantages, too.

Renting video games from online companies can be very convenient, indeed. It is perhaps for this reason that several websites are flourishing in this industry. The selection of games in these online stores are extensive and can reach up to thousands of games. The popular formats are supported, too, like PS2 and PS3, Nintendo Wii, and the Xbox.

If you order a game you want, the delivery times usually range from 1 or 2 days, so you don’t have to wait long. You also enjoy the convenience of having access to game manuals, cheats, and reviews.

The subscribers in these video game rental services are able to enjoy huge savings as compared to the rates they have to pay if they choose to rent from a local shop instead. It has become the standard in this industry that online video game rental services do not impose late fees for the games that their subscribers rent out. You can play your games for as long as you like!

The membership fees are usually lower, too, when you compare them to your local video game stores. And if you do want to buy a game instead of renting them, you’ll be able to get them at a much higher discount.

However, these services are not for everyone. Even if you are an avid gamer, perhaps it would be better to think twice before signing up. Perhaps you are not one of those people who play games every single day. If you don’t play games more than 3 or 4 times a month, then you won’t be able to get the most benefits out of these services.

For some people, even waiting for 1 or 2 days for their games to arrive may be unthinkable. What if you get the sudden urge to play a game this very minute? Delivery times of 1 or 2 days are fast enough for online video game rentals, but they might not be fast enough for you.

Lastly, some video game rental online services may charge their subscribers for membership fees even if they are not actively using their accounts. People who rent only 1 game a month will sometimes have to pay their full monthly dues. It’s advisable to use your subscription to the fullest when you sign up, or else you could be wasting your money.
