Enchanting, a primary profession in Warcraft, can be both one of the easiest and potentially one of the more profitable professions. We’ll take a look at what enchanting is, the various profession levels and the levels your character need to be at in the following WoW Enchanting Guide.
Enchanting is simply being able to either give magic to an item or take it away from an item. When you’ve taken magic from an item you can store it as essence or dust. This ability to enchant items can give you the chance to make a healthy profit by enchanting items for other players.
WoW Enchanting Guide – Levels
If you already have a level 5 character, which is required, then all you need to do is find a trainer. These trainers can be found in large cities. Ask a guard for a trainer if you can’t find one yourself. Trainers can be found in Stormwind and Silvermoon among other places. Here’s how the levels break down, notice the level your character needs to be at in order to ascend to each level. Read more about leveling in the Enchanting Leveling Guide
As I mentioned, the enchanting profession itself is pretty easy, but leveling can be a little challenging. This WoW Enchanting guide won’t go into the details of leveling.
One really important thing you should know is that leveling enchanting can be potentially very expensive, so make sure to consider this before you choose it as a profession. Just to give you some idea of this it can take up to 500 gold to level enchanting to level 300 and 5000 gold to level all the way to 375. As of the release of Wrath of the Lich King, there are a total of 450 levels for this profession. Leveling will only become more expensive and difficult as you go up the levels.
