You own a Nintendo DS and you just can’t get up the $35 to buy a cart, but you really want to play that great new title. What do you do? There are some options on the market for the discriminating downloader, who wants to download Nintendo DS games.
The first thing you need to do is get a thing called a Micro SD card, a flash drive that holds these and an R4 card. These will cost you about $60-$100 but will pay for themselves in the long run as it will hold 1 to 4 Gigabytes of data. This sounds expensive but will pay for itself by the 4th game you download, and whether it be Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass or the new Super Mario Bros., you can download Nintendo DS games without a probelm.
The second thing you can do is either go through a P2P network, or go ahead and google the name of the game followed by ROM. There are a myriad of web sites out there that will allow you to download the game you are itchin’ to own.
Some sites require you to join by membership, which is usually free, and then they’ll allow you to download Nintendo DS games at will. This is the fastest way that I know of, but there are other ways to do it.
Now all you have to do is copy it onto your flash drive. Make sure the SD car is inserted. Then put the SD card inside your R4 card. After that put the R4 card into your DS. Hooray! You are done! You’re ready to play and when you get the new Sonic game, go ahead and make him run fast but think of how quickly you managed to download that game, you have him beat.
