Microsoft's presentation at E3 really was something special. I was getting a bit bored until my favourite director Spielberg walked onto the stage hinting at a new Microsoft gadget.
MIlo was then showed off to the world by British company Lionhead. Somehow the woman playing this demo was able to hold a normal conversation with the boy through the game. Although a lot of people have said that there is no point you really cannot say that it isnt cool.
You are able to actually use your whole body in the games. For example you can hold an invisible steering wheel stepping in and out to accelerate and brake respectively. Penalty shootouts become more realistic with a run up and a kick that is shown as you do it on the game. This isnt a one handed gesture like Nintendo this is the future. As well as this Natal can scan any real world item such as a skateboard so you can use your own board in game but not actually need to stand on the board itself.
If this is what they say it is, it is going to be huge. On top of this, at the recent Tokyo game show major developers such as Sega and Capcom have both announced their backing of the hardware and this is on top of all the other major developers which include EA and the obvious Microsoft game studios.
For more information on this amazing new gadget it might be worth checking out a gadget blog.

Ever since the release of the first Tony Hawk game, the market was ruled by them, until the release of the first Skate title. However, once EA released their revolutionary Skate game, which used analog controls, they dominated the market. After releasing their sequel, Skate 2, they gained yet more of the market share, but will this be maintained with the release of Skate 3?
EA have revealed some video game news today that the new Skate 3 game is in production for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and is due for release around May 2010.
Only a few details were actually given about the game features, but what was said was that this game is going to be more focused on team play rather than single. With new co-op features, you will be able to team up with other gamers, either online or offline, to create your ultimate skating crew. Once you’ve built your perfect team, you can take part in group events and careers.
Some of the current features are also on the list for improvements, Hall of Meat and Create are just two announced by EA. Not to mention a new training feature called skate.School which will allow you to train before you play with the pros.
These feature improvements are good additions to the game, but can they really compete with the competition? For many years now, EA has been in control of the skating gaming genre with their Skate games, but this could soon change with the release of the latest Tony Hawk game. This new Hawk game has changed the way we play skating games because it comes with a Wii Balance Board style controller, unlike any other skating game. I wonder if the skateboard controller really works well, will Skate 3 suffer because they are simply improving features with no huge changes.
Due to the current problems with the global economy, many people choose to not buy video games as much and then sell them after they have with them if they are not worth playing again, I think Skate 3 maybe one of these games.
What I know for certain is that Ill want to read some game reviews before I buy Skate 3, unless they announce some even better features.
