A few days ago I decided to create a new Blood Elf character. Since I wasn’t up for grinding my way to higher levels (again), I decided to buy the Zygor Horde Guide and see if it would really help level my character faster. Here are my impressions from the first couple of days of using Zygor.

3) Optional but recommended - Gloves:

Get the lowest costing gloves you can find and get them enchanted with +5 mining skill, it won’t cost more than 2 gold.

For those who asked, the +5 mining will not improve your chances of getting a crystal, but it will DECREASE the odds that you will have a failed attempt.

Engineers Note: If you make yourself a Goblin Mining helmet this will add +5 to your mining skill.

Wow Mining Walkthrough - Copper mining

Mining is an important skill for players who wear mail armor (with blacksmithing profession) or anyone who wants to make gold. Here is a great guide with the ultimate profession guide.

I advise that you mine about 50 copper then smelt it. There are large quantities of  Copper, so you can use any of the following mining routes or invent your own:

Mining Locations:

* Alterac Mountains
* Ashenvale
* Darkshore
* Desolace
* Dun Morogh
* Durotar
* Duskwood
* Elwynn Forest
* Hillsbrad Foothills
* Loch Modan
* Mulgore
* Redridge Mountains
* Silverpine Forest
* Stonetalon Mountains
* The Barrens
* Thousand Needles, Tirisfal Glades, Westfall, and Wetlands

Horde

- Tauren: Mulgore:

Choose a starting point and follow the cliffs all the way around. Remember to check out the Venture Co mine. On this run you should get around 40-50 copper.

- Orc and Troll:

A simple method is to just complete whole circuits of Durotar. Since there is so much copper around you may find it more exciting to start from Razor Hill and travel west towards the Quilboar grounds, riding the cliff face until you reach the ricer, and then go up north until you reach Orgrimmar. Travel east until you see a small farmstead, then travel south and down into the canyon. You will reach Razor Hill again if you follow the canyon out and head south east. You should have about 25-30 copper ores by the end of this.

- Undead:

Starting at the entrance of DeathKnell, travel south and follow the cliffs all the way around, past the Undercity, to the bulwark. Ride along the cliffs as you travel up north to Scarlet monastery. Go west when you reach the coast, then travel south to follow the cliffs down to Agamand Mills. After that go back to the entrance of Deathknell by following the hills south. You should get about 30-40 copper ore from this run.

Alliance

-Night elves:

Since Darnassus has no ores at all, you must go to Darkshore. Start at Auberdine and then travel east util you reach the cliffs at the top of the map. As you are moving southwards, hug the cliff face as you move. Once you arrive at the entrance of Ashenvale, travel west to the coast and the go north back to Auberdine. Now move east, like before, except this time when you arrive at the cliffs, head northwards, following the cliffs round the coast and then head south again to Auberdine. You will find this figure 8 pattern a lot easier than taking Auberdine in one whole route. You will get around 40-50 copper ores from this.

-Dwarves and Gnomes:

Copper is everywhere, so you really don’t need a route here.

-Human:

Starting at Goldshire and traveling east to the north of Crystal Lake, when you arrive at the north of the logging camp, travel south. Go along the river to the border of Duskwood and Elwyn forest, then travel north-west and go to Goldshire. Visiting at least 2 mines on this trip will grant you about 30-40 copper ores.

No player should ever ignore first aid. No matter how good you are, odds are that you are going to suffer some type of damage to your character at one time or another. If you do not know first aid, you are going to have a much more difficult time healing after a battle. To perform first aid on other characters as well as yourself we have made some tips on how to do this.

The first aid skill is considered a secondary skill, which means that you can merge it with any other profession. It’s probably the best secondary skill you can learn and can really come in handy. Here is how to begin.

This guide will help you level in your skill quickly. To start off, there are two main components or items that are required. Bandages or anti-venoms are required for all first aid skills. You will need to find anti-venom or complete quests to get that item when you first get started. Anti-venom is a extremely useful item in which different situations call for different types of this item.

You will not have the best bandages yet, because they will only be available once you advance in skill, but they are better than nothing. Begin by getting an apprenticeship from your local trainer. You can always go back and learn more, but this will get you started.

Once your skill level is 150 you will need to buy the Expert First Aid – Under Wraps item. If you are an Alliance, this can be located in the Arathi Highlands. Dustwallow Marsh is where Horde players can find theirs. You will be able to progress past skill level 150 once you obtain this item. Your goal is to get to 375, so by this point, you are well on your way.

When you achieve a skill level of 225, you will need to complete the Triage Quest which will swiftly bump you up to 300. To move up quickly in your skill level, keep in mind that you can go back to your trainer and learn advanced bandage wrapping at 240 to quickly level in your profession.

Anti-venoms are accessible as you advance in skill. At skill level 80, you will be able to get your first one from your trainer. This costs about 1 silver and 50 copper, depending on where you get it. Once you hit skill level 130, for around 2 silver and 50 copper you will be able to purchase the strong anti-venom.
